Our approach to human rights is grounded in internationally recognised labour standards and independently assessed social compliance practices. As a SEDEX member, Hayleys Fabric follows the ETI Base Code, which is founded on International Labour Organization conventions, with our practices covering freedom of association and collective bargaining, fair employment, non-discrimination, safe working conditions and zero tolerance for child labour, forced labour and harassment.
Social compliance is independently assessed through mechanisms including SMETA and the Higg Facility Social & Labor Module, providing external validation of workplace practices against globally recognised requirements.
Our approach also extends into the supply chain. Social and environmental criteria form part of supplier screening and onboarding, while supplier audits are used to identify labour and human rights risks and drive corrective action where required. Independent audits by Tier 1 customers provide an additional layer of scrutiny over our processes and performance.
